Encore E9 review

Encore makes a range of products including Dash cams, DVR recorders, backup sensors and blind spot detection systems, as well as traditional car alarms.

While Encore’s products don’t offer any patented technologies such as Responder HD, SuperCode, or SmartStart, the Encore E9 still packs in plenty of features and at a more affordable price than the big name brands.

It made it on our list of the best car alarms for a while, and while we get more excited for other units now, it's still a decent purchase.

Features include ASK long range technology, Ultra bright white LED backlit remote, LCD screen that includes temperature, voltage and countdown/run timer.

It utilizes an ESA-1 mini size dual stage shock sensor, on-board 2-way serial and telematics port for i-Data Link data bus and bypass module integration. Other features include programmable outputs, two car operation and multiple audible confirmation tones and vibration mode for paging.

It even includes its own smart phone compatibility called Encore Ally which is available with an additional module (purchased separately).

Feature Highlights

  • 6-channel professional series alarm
  • 2-way paging LCD remote and 1 way 4 button backup remote
  • Remote start
  • Keyless entry
  • Panic mode and valet mode
  • Trunk release
  • Temperature, timer, stick and turbo timer start modes
  • 3000 Ft. Range

EDITOR'S RATING:

Encore E9

As you can see, the Encore E9 includes plenty of features and options and makes for a solid theft deterrence option.

While it lacks some of the patented technologies found in larger brands and doesn’t offer any insurance protection plans, it does offer an excellent amount of protection for the price. Installation is straightforward and is simpler than some systems using DEI technology.

I would highly recommend the Encore E9 for anyone who is looking for an alarm system with great features without the high price tag of the big name brands.
